A flow map is, basically broken down to its simplest terms, a mean by which to convey to another person the process of something. The picture to the left is that of an elementary ed. teacher showing students what, in essence, a flow chart is. The teacher is showing them the sequence of events that will need to take place in order to reach a particular goal.
