PLSS Maps
A PLSS map, or commonly known as a Public Land Survey System, is, quite simply, a way in which land is divided up. The map to the left shows the State of Alabama as it is divided up into townships. Its URL is: http://www.nationalatlas.gov/articles/boundaries/a_plss.html, and was put together, as stated above, to with the purpose of dividing the State of Alabama up into townships.
